San Pedro Neighbors for Peace and Justice conducted a street vigil and met with staff at Congresswoman Nanette Barragan's office in southern California. Support negotiation, not escalation!


Malden, MA, Sept. 15, 2022


Protestors from Massachusetts Peace Action paid a visit to Assistant Speaker Katherine Clark, urging her to support negotiations for Peace In Ukraine.


Boston Area (Newton), MA, Sept. 15, 2022

Peace activists spoke with staff of Rep Jake Auchincloss outside his office in Newton, MA. They called for Auchincloss to support negotiations, not arms shipments and escalation, in the Ukraine-Russia war.

Peace, Justice and Sustainability Now delivers letters to Senator Casey, the State Department and Senator Toomey to support a ceasefire in Ukraine.

Milwaukee, WI, Sept. 15th, 2022

Peace in Ukraine Coalition activists at the Marquette University campus in Milwaukee, WI, after distributing hundreds of leaflets to students walking between classes. The leaflet urged them to contact their member of Congress to ask them to contact President Biden to push a ceasefire and negotiated end to the Ukraine War and stop sending weapons which escalate and prolong the war and increase the risk of nuclear war.

Santa Cruz, CA, Sept. 15th, 2022

Demonstrators gather to oppose the war in Ukraine, highlighting the escalating threat of nuclear war the longer that the war continues, the effect that the war in Ukraine is having on the environment, and stressed that the U.S. tax dollars spent on military aid to the war effort could be better spent on social services and humanitarian aid. Santa Barbara, CA, Sept. 16th, 2022

            
CODEPINK and DSA-SB anti-war activists gathered first in front of the office of Congressman Salud Carbajal to deliver a "Ceasefire now!" letter to staffer Jesse Ebadi, then onto a nearby intersection to hold signs reading "Diplomacy-Yes. Weapons-NO" and "Negotiate, Do Not Escalate." Drivers honked in support.


Baltimore, MD, Sept. 16th, 2022

   
Protesters in Baltimore stage an action for Peace in Ukraine in league with CODEPINK, Vets for Peace and Mass. Peace Action at 33rd St and Charles St. The banners got high visibility among lots of Hopkins students and traffic.
