No matter what your reasons for questioning the use of violence to solve the contest between Russia and NATO, please join us. At World BEYOND War, "we oppose the Russian invasion and call for the immediate withdrawal of all Russian troops. We recognize that the expansion of NATO and the aggressive approach of Western states have helped cause the crisis and we demand an end to NATO expansion. We also oppose sanctions that will harm ordinary Russians and call on all countries to welcome refugees fleeing the war."
Japan may already be contributing to the escalation of tensions and increasing the likelihood of more violence in Ukraine, worsening the tragedies befalling people there. For example, "Japan formally joined the U.S. and other partners in slapping more sanctions on Russia’s embattled leaders and three financial institutions, dealing a potentially crushing blow to the country’s economy." Japan is already talking of beefing up its defenses in the Ryukyu Islands (Okinawa Prefecture). Demanding a ceasefire and peace talks would be more constructive.
