We are calling on President Biden to engage with President Putin in order to stop the carnage of innocent people in Ukraine. The more weapons sent to Ukraine, the more innocent Ukrainians will die.
War fuels climate disaster and in this case, oil and gas is front and center in this conflict.
How can the Biden administration seriously address the root of climate catastrophe when all our wars boil down to who controls the world's oil and gas supplies?
In addition to the climate emergency, the risk of nuclear war is the highest since the Cuban Missile Crisis.
The US should use all the tools in its diplomatic tool box to stop this war:
-Stop sending more weapons to Ukraine
-Call for immediate ceasefire
-Call for Russian troops to withdraw
-Call for Ukrainian neutrality
-Ukraine must agree to Donbas referendum for autonomy and peace.
-Agree with the critical importance of climate change mitigation and infrastructure.
Any less invites more conflict that hits our economy, increases inflation, the risk of a possible nuclear war, and certain climate catastrophe for our children and grandchildren and all future generations. This madness must stop!
